I am Celia Joy McGregor, a Licensed Mental Health Counsellor in Florida and a Licensed Associate Professional Counselling Psychologist in Jamaica with the Council of Professions Supplemental to Medicine. With over 16 years of experience as a trained Counsellor, my hope is that, through counseling, you will become stronger emotionally and feel more secure in yourself. Having worked in a variety of work settings, I have extensive experience counseling adolescents, adults, pre-marital and married couples and families. My goal is to work with you through counselling to help you feel better and have the joy that you once had. Abuse, Trauma, Grief and Loss: You may have had a traumatic event in your life that causes you to feel overwhelmed, anxious and sad. Professional counselling can help you resolve the emotional baggage of your past and guide you in becoming the person that you want to be. Counselling Sessions: Counselling is available for adolescents, adults, and families in a safe and welcoming environment. Sessions can be face to face or online using the Zoom platform.

Abel Wendel Dr

Dr Wendel Abel is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Therapist, who has over 25 years of experience providing counselling services, cognitive behaviour therapy, drug counselling and marital counselling to clients in a variety of treatment settings. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, a Diploma in Psychology and a Doctorate in Medicine from the University of the West Indies, Mona (UWI), as well as a Master of Public Health from John Hopkins University. Dr Abel is currently the Head of the Department of Community Health & Psychiatry at the University of the West Indies, Mona. He is a member of the Medical Association of Jamaica, Jamaica Psychiatric Association, Cochrane Mental Health Research Group and the American Psychiatric Association. Dr Abel has been instrumental in formulating several mental health policies across the region and has written several newspaper articles, academic papers and case reports for the government and mental health agencies. A true patriot, he has dedicated his life's work to improving the lives of his fellow countrymen and raising public awareness about mental health issues. He has established several group homes for the treatment of mentally ill patients, and currently offers visiting consultation to the Community Group Home for adults and children with challenging behaviour and/or coexisting psychiatric illnesses. Through a multidisciplinary approach to psychiatric treatment, Dr Abel utilizes evidence-based methods to deliver the best care to his clients. In recognition of his service and innovation in the field of community mental health and social services, Dr Abel was conferred with the prestigious Order of Distinction on 15 October 2007. Dr Abel has also extended his scope and serves in the capacity of Justice of the Peace, a true testament of his philosophy that service to one's country is the greatest honour.
