Jamaican Automotive Manufacturer

Greetings to all, I am currently producing a documentary on Excel Motors LTD. They are Jamaica’s first and only automotive manufacturer. I am scheduled to interview the founder, Mr. Patrick Marzouca in a weeks time. The vehicles are assembled in Sav-La-Mar. Models include the Island Cruiser, Island-Pickup, Wasp, and Gabrielle. The most popular by far being the Island cruiser. Has anyone else heard of Excel Motors or the Island Cruiser? It seems the more people I speak with the more unknown it is. However, they have already exported vehicles to the Bahamas as well as Turks and Caicos. Hoping my documentary will shed some light on this.

Advice

It’s on the same street as Manning’s High School Beckford Street which I grew up on just down the road. Shortly before I left they were just getting started. They build the bodies on site and everything else is Toyota. That may have been changed by now. When I was there they were limited to the beaches and resort areas. I’ve not had an update on there progress in decades and I’m now excited to look into their progress.

Edit: Found it

Advice

They use to have one for rentals. http://www.geocities.ws/islandcruiser2000/index-2.html but warning. The website is from the mid 2000’s and has many ads and pop-ups. Attempts to contact the website maker or reservation office have been unsuccessful. I dabble in web design and plan on asking Mr. Marzouca if I may put up a more current website.
