The Jamaica Urban Transit Co (JUTC) Ltd is the country's premier bus service. It offers about 70 routes within the Kingston Metropolitan Transit Region (KMTR), Spanish Town and Portmore and some rural areas. Since JUTC took over public transportation, our aim has been excellence and the service offered to commuters has significantly improved. We have 400 active buses in the public transportation system which carry 250,000 passengers every day. The JUTC operates three bus systems regular, shuttles and express. Payment methods include the Smart Card, which can be topped up at several locations credit and debit cards are also accepted along with cash. We also offer a bus charter service where our vehicles can be rented with a driver for island wide travel at competitive prices. Our buses are equipped with air conditioning, Wifi, cameras for your safety and bathrooms on some units. The seating options range from 57 seaters in a single bus and multiples of this seating arrangement. Our Bus Charter system is utliised by Corporate Jamaica, Church groups, Service groups and just about any set of persons who require a professional bus service with fully air- conditioned buses and professional drivers to take them across the country.
