Do you want to report "Grand Palladium & Lady Hamilton opinions"
Hi, I’m invited to a wedding in the fall at the Grand Palladium & Lady Hamilton resort in Jamaica. I’ve been seeing a lot of bad reviews for this resort and I was looking for some more opinions on it? I was hoping to find some people who have stayed their recently that can comment on if it is as bad as the reviews make it out to be. I sort of find it hard to believe it’s THAT bad but maybe I’m just desperate for a vacation haha. Thanks!
My wife and I were married at Lady Hamilton 5 years ago and have been to the resort nearly 10 times. We love it there and while there are things they could do better, the staff is warm and friendly and the views are incredible. It’s an all-inclusive, so food isn’t going to be like eating in a Michelin star rates restaurant in Vegas or NYC. If you expect that, you will be disappointed.
We’ve always loved it there and are headed back in less than 2 weeks.
We’ve never had an issue with cleanliness and have always felt safe.
I would say they are always happy to help as long as you are nice. If something isn’t meeting your expectations, have a calm and nice talk with someone and it usually gets resolved quickly.
Haven’t stayed there but those reviews are awful and very recent too. No chance I could book there and feel anything other than very worried about enjoying my time there.
It’s too much money to take that chance with all those reviews but you kinda are stuck since a wedding it happening there
If it wasn’t for the wedding I wouldn’t be considering the resort at all to be honest. My parents stayed at a Grand Palladium in Mexico for my cousins wedding & they all loved it. So I wasn’t expecting the reviews for the one in Jamaica to be so concerning.
Yea I hear you and normally management posts under the negative reviews apologizing there is none of that.At least you don’t go until November sometimes these issues get cleaned up with all the bad reviewsCould be a rough patch for the hotel
I stayed there March 11-13 2022, I also went for a wedding. I definitely enjoyed myself! Grand Palladium has a lot of activities in the mornings straight to night. The food wasn’t bad either but it could have been better. If you are looking to stay up at 3 am every morning, Grand Palladium is definitely the right place
This might be an odd question but did you find the rooms clean/ reasonably free from bugs? The reviews about the rooms being dirty are what really has me concerned.

There are definitely hotels with better rooms, there was nothing really special about it. It was clean when I first got there and it was free of bugs. I didn’t spend much time in the rooms but the rooms were like any regular hotel
I am going next week and concerned about the recent negative reviews as well! I am curious if there was a big difference between the Jamaica and lady Hamilton hotels? I am booked on the Jamaica side but can move to lady Hamilton for $60/day
Idk when the event is for you, but I’m just leaving there today and I don’t ever have to go back. The pros are that there is a lot to do, the staff is friendly, etc. But it seems like there’s just no simple way to fix basic problems. Example: I went for a wedding and every single one of my family members did not have towels on the day of the wedding. The maid service comes in every day and takes the towels you have and doesn’t replace them and the process of getting more towels takes FOREVER. I didn’t even know they had a wash cloths the first day because they NEVER put them in my room until I asked. Every single room smelled like mold and there is mold visible in the shower.
The food is GARBAGE. Straight garbage. There is a reason why you don’t have to pay any extra for it. Most people said the Jamaican restaurants back home were more authentic and had more flavor and I have to agree.
I have seen several negative reviews about the staff and that wasn’t my experience at all. But a friendly face doesn’t make up for the lack of edible food and basic needs like a towel, and a sink that’s constantly clogging up. It was a good time, but If I had to stay another day I would lose my shit.
